Embassy of Japan in Serbia
1. Work Description
The Embassy of Japan in Serbia is recruiting local staff for the following duties in the Administrative Section (Repair and Maintenance) Section:
- General repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Planning and implementation of building repair and renovation.
- On-site management of repair work (progress management, quality management, safety management).
- Coordination and negotiation with construction companies and external contractors.
- Selection and procurement of equipment and building materials.
- Conduct and report on periodic building inspections and maintenance inspections.
- General clerical work related to repair work (report preparation, translation, interpretation, etc.).
- Other work as required by the Embassy (e.g., telephone receptionist, etc.).
2. Working Conditions
- Working hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (except for lunch break from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.)
- Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, and days when the Embassy of Japan is closed.
- Overtime: Overtime work may be required depending on the progress of construction (repairs).
- Salary: Determined by education and work experience, etc.
3. Qualifications
- The candidate must have an interest in working at the Embassy of Japan and be able to work there for a long period of time.
- Fluent in English. Japanese language ability is desirable.
- Experience working in the construction industry is required. Basic knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and construction is desirable.
- Ability to prepare documents in Word and Excel.
- The applicant must be in good physical and mental health, cooperative, and willing to be present at repair and construction sites.
- Serbian nationals or those who have a Serbian residence permit and work permit.
4. Selection Process
Document screening: After document screening, only successful applicants will be contacted to schedule interviews, etc.
Second round: An interview will be conducted for those who pass the first round.
